sold some wheels last month to some fella in wales. some people may remember them from the classifides section.

I mentioned they were in good condition, apart from some kurbing and lacquer peeling. the auction also mentioned all measurements.

the sale went through well enough, the bloke paid £400 into my paypal, and that transferred into my bank, and i sent the wheels as he requested.

he's now come back to me saying that he needed the wheels balanced (all 4 were out) the bolts on his old wheels are too short to fit the wheels on (he says he will get longer ones) he also says the one of the wheels is buckled, to the extent it can't be balanced (despite no problems the wheels caused when they were on my dads merc) he's saying that if the wheels dont fit (due to the short studs) and if the wheel cant be balanced, he'll seek a full refund.

where do i stand? its not as if i mentioned in my auction that none of the wheels were buckled, or all in balance. And he didnt even question me to ask if they were buckled or balanced, cos if he did i would have found out for him.

Is he in his rights to get a full refund?

you could give him a refund however you arent obliged too.

Be very careful, if he claims through paypal they could take the money off you.

bank and card details removed. is there anyway they can still take money from me?? its a lot of money £400 so i wouldnt like paypal to take this much with out me being able to stop it.

if he comes back saying he wants a refund, i'll hold my position saying, they were sold as per description, im no wheel and tyre expert, if he asked if they were buckled or balanced i would have taken them to be checked.

if the wheel is visually buckled and you didnt provide pics or description of this then im sure he could get a refund on this, not the balancing or offset thing tho
