The dark coloured car folled me and flashed his head lights and started indicating left.
I couldnt really make out what the car was as all i could see in my mirror was all the lights.
I thought **** he is pulling me over so i indicated left and moved onto the hard shoulder and slowed down.
He left a big gap and as i came to a halt he raced up behind me and very nearly rammed my car!
He then reveresed and raced off at high speed.
As he went past me i saw it was a modified dark blue s reg vaux astra with big exhaust.
I carried back on the motorway trying to figure out what to do about it when i caught him up as he stopped another car.
Luckilly i was quick enough to get most of his number plate and dialled 999 and reported him.
Hopefully the police will catch him.
As it is i now cant stop shaking, it has really scared the life out of me.
Be very careful if you are stopped by an unmarked car especially at night, i was lucky he was just being an idiot it could have been much more serious.
I would imagine that this idiot will post on a chav forum some where bragging about this at some point in the near future, if you see any thing can you let me know and i will forward the info to the police.

i think the plate was S329 AGX.
Im not tottally convinced the person on the phone believed me but i gave them all the info i could and will have to wait and see what happens i supose.
I think it was some local chav morons who thought it would be funny, there was at least 3 of them in the car.

Any car with xenons. Few lessons there. Don't do 80, or don't panic when you do 80, and stop only for marked cars, or drive to a safe place to do so.

So all police cars have zenons?
Also can you not get charged for failing to stop, as they are still the police?

A lot of fancy stuff does, most traffic cars etc., hence why people confuse cars with xenons for Police cars.
You can't be charged with failing to stop assuming you do in the proper cirumstance, which is that you are safe and they have called for uniformed assistance to actually effect the stop.
Unmarked cars can't actually pull you I'm sure. There have been threads on here in the past and I'm sure some of the Police on here may advise.

I've seen programmes on TV about motorway police... guy driving a red bmw pulling people over.
Also saw an unmarked vectra pull a car full of chavs over, and wasn't Paul J done by an unmarked evo?

they can pull you, but you are within your rights to not pull over until youve phoned the police and verified the car is genuine
