Ok so ignoring the ability of drivers etc. Should a 1.0 1998 Corsa be beating a 1.2 1997 on acceleration annnndd top speed??

Ummm. I guess it must be a 8v then. Il check. I did always think my 1.0 was a bit nippy for a less than 1000 cc engine Shame its dead now

my 1.0 12v is quite nippy and yes id is quicker than my friends 1.2 corsa and my brothers 1.2 clio

Same! I just bought a 1.2 RT and it is such a nicer drive, but I think my Corsa is nippier. Just.

And there is something in it. Allbeit not enough. Even with a full car I was overtaking her at 95 down the motorway...

My 1.0L can beat 1.2 8v corsas, 1.1 8v puntos and 1.2 & 1.4 clio mk1.

Its now for sale and im getting a 1.4 sport 16v
