Creatine isn't necessary at all. Better of spending your money on whey protein.

Ive been on soya protein last year, and just getting back into it again now so will have to pop into town and see what they recommend at the shop. Id rather have it with the protein however, a friend of mine showed some amazing gains when using it

Soya protein is not really that good, it contains oestrogen(female sex hormone) and is generally not the best quality protein about. This stuff is very good value -

When would you take that? Before, during, or after a work out? Been meaning to give something like this a try.

It varies. You can take it at any time but i prefered to use it during the one hour after my workout(mixed with water) and then before bed, mixed with milk to slow down digestion.

Muscle is stored protein. When you train, you tear down muscle fibres which need repairing. You need more protein than the avergae man for your muscles to repair, and grow. Protein does this, whether its from whole foods or a supplement. How can creatine be better? Its crap, it just fills your muscles with water. Comapring the 2 for muscle growth is laughable.

Ideally you need to consume protein every 3'ish hours. To grow muscle your body needs to be in an anabolic state. If you train and dont eat often you'll be in a catabolic state and you wont grow, at all.

Yeh, try taking it at different intervals and see what works best for you.Obviously its just a supplement so theres no need to take it 4 or 5 times a day, could replace a serving or two with a chicken breast or similar.

i just feel fat when i have done whey protien, i dont use supplements just a better diet i always had a high protien diet but now i eat less fatty protien foods.
i dont use gyms anymore, dont like working out with other people, where as wen i used the college gym it was me and my 2 mates and that was it.
just swim twice weekly, hockey train twice weekly and hockey match one or twice weekly is enough aswel as nighly and morning sit ups and press ups, dont wish for muscle building any more just toning

I see people in the gym who train all the time and never change, always look the same. Anyone can train and tear your muscles fibres up, its the repair and growth thats important. Training is the easiest part, it's the other 23 hours in the day thats the hard bit.
