Few updates on that thread now, got me thinking about it after being down at Custom Chrome last week and chatting to the guy making the exhausts, apparently its having sidepipes fitted, but the exhaust will run so hot that it'd melt the normal wadding and spew out marbles. If they thermal wrapped it, the exhaust gases would exit the pipes so hot they'd take the skin off your legs if you were stood nearby

no, the Rolls Royce Meteor never went into an Aircraft, it was used for British Tanks. puts out about 600bhp. With the Turbochargers, expect at least double that figure. engine is pretty much indestructable, since it was built around the Merlin engine, that put out around 1000bhp from a centri supercharger. Was used in the DH Comet, with a high octane fuel and tighter pulley, this engine made well over 2500bhp

I guess most people were amazed that it is a road legal proposition too. It has been MoT'd, taxed, and insured before (£180 from Adrian Flux for the record). It churns out almost 1500 lb/ft @ 2600 rpm and gets to 120 at a little over tickover.
