My cousin plays for Northampton Saints. I know the top England players get about £250,000 a year, not including sponsorship deals etc. Rugby players still get bonuses for appearances, wins, tries etc. Regular players (not internationals) get from £50-200K a year I think.

depends whether its league or union

Superleage have a salary cap so top players earn quite a bit and others don't

i dont think there overpaid, there johb is to entertain and work their bolocks off to create money for the comapany/club there with. amoubnt of money clubs earn then why shouldnt they get paid alot.
i think your find footballers train just as much if not the same as rugby players. and only a few snort cocaine, dont make out rugby players arent ones for acting liek cunts outside of playing, its just cos there not famous or nobody knwos who they are, so they dont get treated like vips etc.
i do believe in the paper a few rugby players got caught roasting a girl on camera, so they do obviosuly act like cunts

"Rugby players train alot harder" You have no evidence or proof to back this up, this is just something you have made up in your head.
"snorting coke & going out all weeketc" You have been watching too much footballers wives etc.Mutu got banned for cocaine, so doubt it is as wide spread as your making out.
"You don't see them diving on the floor like twats" Do you actually watch rugby? i'm pretty sure they do dive around like twats.
And the mental bit, you are using a different game to help your arguement. Although i agree, just as much mental usage in both.

I don't have proof no but i am undoubted they train harder my best mate plays for wigan U18's and trains 5 days a week playing one, he is at college with me and trains from 6 in the morning untill 8 and from 5 till 8 at night and he is playing only playing for the 18's......... footballers train im sure for 5 days a week aswell while playing one, however they need fitness alot while rugby players (league anyway i dont follow union) need a large amount of strenght aswell as fitness................ no when i say they dive around like twats Rugby union players may dive around as it is the nature of their game however in Rugby league you'll see alot more one on one tackles (and no thats not what i call diving its being tackled......... whereas footballers continually dive at the sight of an approaching player when no contact has been made (eg like a twat) .................. as for snorting coke and going out every weekend fair enough there are some footballers who wont and some who will so it was just me ranting a bit

I know what your saying, you just need to stop being so bias against football! And so stereotypical!
Rest/recovery is a principle of training. Your mate needs to make sure he is not overtraining as this will have adverse effects overall.

Footballers are over paid? Do you make your company millions of pounds a year? Didn't think so. Do you dedicate most of your life to your job, staying off beer/fast food, missing Christmas with the family etc? Again didn't think so. And I bet your not one of the best in the Country if not the world at your job
