wot do ppl think of these been looking into new cars as got some really gd insurance quotes and considering getting on ed of the summer.

looking at the gpz 2.0 v6 mivec engine ones, 200 bhp come in either manul or auto/tiptronic

i know fuel consumption is high and can be expensive to get power out but wouldnt really do any major power mods to start with

cheers nath

have excellent performance for a 2.0ltr na but there like any car start playing with turbos or serious tuning and engine swaps then itl wipe the floor with most FWD cars as the standard gearbox is capable of 180mph

are dear on petrol but aint all 24v v6s

reliability is great - easy one of the best for jap cars but then again it aint a turbo so would be expected

there all imports - but a couple of hundred were imported by ralliart officially

you want a car that feels fast buy a teg-r want a car that goes as fast but doesnt feel it buy a gpx fto

oh and if gonna tune it and do quarter mile runs buy a manual or your looking at mid 15s instead of low 15s high 14s

if you have a bit more cash and want a lightweight version with lsd then buy the GPV-R as these are a bit quicker round a track

you say you dont fancy big power mods to begin with,, if you want big power then your looking an evo conversion or THE DADDY a twin turbo conversion from a VR4,, guy on the club has one he uses as his every day car and it ran a 12.5 quarter mile at TOTB saying that he does have his rear seats and carpet removed

heres a wee pic of his engine bay

I wouldn't touch one persoanlly, why you'd want a car that goes fast but doesn't feel it boggles me my mates got tip mivec and it sounds nice etc but doesn't do alot and bits are expensive he paid nearly 5 ton for a new fitted alternator

Not great to be fair.
When I was changing from my Corsa I went for a drive in a 2.0 GPX Mivec & it didnt do anything for me. The interior was a bit rank, not really into stripey green n purple & the drive wasnt all that exciting
Ended up buying a Civic Jordan & was glad I did in the end
BTW I had quite a few Fto's off in the old Jordan

He's not like that but still pricey to fix and for bits when in reality it's not exactly got the performance to justify...imo of course.
