It will be a "Supposed" 200bhp version but this is Vauxhall we're talking about, they are unlikely to release a 1.6 16v Turbo with 200bhp in a small hatch, 180bhp will be quite enough.

They have to make it at least 200bhp to compete with the new Fiat Punto supermini....which will push something like 240BHP. Which is just mad.

A Vauxhall spokesman told us: "We anticipate 70 per cent of VXRs will be sold in the UK.

Seeing as Vauxhall does not exist anywhere else, I should be very surprised if less than 99 per cent will be sold in the UK...

1.6 16 valve turbo, around 160bhp.

Looks like a mini astra and also similar to the new fiat punto

You're all wrong. My Dads, mates uncles sisters boyfriends brother said that the new Corsa will have a Rolls Royce Merlin engine in it, similar to that found in Spitfires, only slightly de-tuned.

Personally I'd wait for the Corsa VXR but I cant imagine it being out for at least another year from now if the normal models are only being launched in September. Unless the VXR is in the line up to start with
