I got told before I went that it would very expensive to eat and drink out but it was actually cheaper than over here

There were some expensive restaurants but there are expensive restaurants over here!

The ones we went to cost about 9 Euros for a main course for something like Steak and then 5 Euros for a Desert. Then a bottle of Carlsberg was about 4-5 Euros. Its good food too and nice atmosphere

I was in the same boat - not done french since I was at school and cant remember any of it.

Most of the restaurants employ waiters that speak loads of different languages so its not a problem. The easiest way to tell is by looking at the menu as they have it written in French then below that its written in English. If they didn't have the menu in english then we didn't go there.

Everywhere was busy but we didn't que for anything as everything over there seems to have been designed to take a very high volume of people! We went straight into the lift on the Eiffel Tower both of the times we went up. No queing at all!

I found everything easy to do and use. Alot more organised than over here TBH

We stayed in the Eiffel Tower area. We were about 15 mins walk from the Eiffel Tower and 5 mins from the River Seine.

There were lots of people out and about at night, didn't see much in the way of pubs or clubs but we didn't really look. Spent most of the night in restaurants or looking round the shops on the Champs Elleysee (sp)

Yeah there are a few restaurants in the Eiffel Tower area. The best place to go is the Champs Elleysee. Its only a 5-10 mins trip on the Metro. Loads of restaurants on there and up the side streets and all the designer shops are there too. Serious money

In the day we went round all the tourist spots like Sacre Cour, La Defense, Arc de Triomphe then walked down the Champs Elleysee to the concorde obilisque thing then to Notre Dame and back to the hotel and got ready for going to find a restaurant. We went up the Eiffel Tower at night on the 1st night we got there, was really good looking seeing everything lit up at night
