You'd hope it'd be that much, but in this day and age I'd say £25k realistically as everyone does "IT" now.

It's outside of London too, so I don't think you could expect that (plus it's through an agency so they'll be taking their cut). "Manager" is such an overused term nowadays -- best bet it to contact them directly.
Have you got any ITIL qualifications? I assume it's quite a big company to be worried about them...

I haven't got the ITIL qualification. Been trying to persuade my boss at the mo to put me on it but he hasn't

Maybe £20k, more if you had the quals. There's nothing there that a few years since school wouldn't teach you.

The starting salary where I started, end of 2003, for a First Line Technical Services Consultant (aka phone-support-monkey) was £12-16k, and that was about all that was on offer at the time in this area (North West). I got in on the maximum £16k, due to past experience and my interview......have progressed through Second Line, and am now in the NOC team, so I'm on a "little" bit more!
Just checked, they're currently advertising the First Line jobs as "up to £17k"...

This discussion of course being largely academic, as its the company who will be deciding anyway.
I personally feel that putting 30k on the form would price you way out of the market.

IT covers everything though ross.
They arent the jobs that graduates want.
