The limited edition Impreza STi S204 marks the tuning house's first attempt at creating a brand similar to BMW's legendary M (for motorsport) division.

BMWs with the little blue M badge have long been the most sought-after in the company's range for their outstanding performance and Subaru are now looking to do the same with their STi range.

The STi S204 looks to be a good start as it takes the standard 2.0l turbo boxer engine and somehow squeezes out 320bhp, a 4.5 sec 0-60 time and a top speed limited to 155mph.

why have you guys still got the old 2.0 engine? the 2.5 is a markedly bigger improvement over the peaky 2.0

The 2.5 is used on the new UK STI's and WRX's but the JDM cars - Spec C's, spec D's and the S204's are using the 2 litre.

Main reasons are that the 2.5 litre lump is lazier and isnt as well tested.
