stop mincing and take them off, it's been months, just do it!! on track if you crash the crash bar won't save sweet FA.

but is the front one not a structural thing? i mean like if you remove it is the chassis going to flex more and promote body roll etc?

leave them off then!!!
As for strutcural, a strut brace would do much more. all the race boys remove them (with exception to bangers possibly)

leave it off
doen alot off reading on them in genral, and apart from acting as a brce between the 2 front legs they will help in shunts
also the gact the weigh less the a kg eash means its not worht it IMO
if i felt the need to remove them i would, and you know i would

broster - when you get hit from behind in a corsa at any sort of decent speed, the crash bar will just criple, its thin metal and useless. and yes i have seen the evidence.

crash bar does fuck all does it
I pranged the green corsa head-on into a granite wall at about 55mph..... the car was fucked, twisted chassis etc, BUT the crash bar absorted most of the force, meaning my engine was intact, even the rad wasnt damaged

i could word that differently.... crash bar didnt really absorb the force.... just took some of it and protected the valuable bits of the car

The fact it crumples is good. Compare coming off your bike as a kid with long or shorts pants. Your leg was still mullered, but it always bled more in shorts.

Jimbo can neither read nor write the queen's English correctly Adam - he's just winging it and hopes nobody notices.
He comes from Nepal you know.
