i wouldnt class myself as oldschool and ive been a member over 2 years, but cs has changed so much, i remember back in the day when drew and every1 was still aloud free roam of the forums and back in the day of the pocessed meat crew, back in the day when sassy what the BUTT of every joke, when there was more to offday than just reposts and topping week old threads,

god how this place has changed

Msut admit, I've been here a while now, not really got to know many people of here for the simple fact that cars don't interest me one bit and when it comes down to it, they bore the hell out of me...

but yeah, since I joined alot has changed!

It does seem moderated a bit hard these days - especially since Off day is meant for any old shit.

However, compare it to say PGAC and this seems like a kindergarden

I prefere CS for the banter and think it has a far better community for it.

this was posted in the 'prem lounge' of PGAC the other day - made me chuckle

Non Work Safe Threads.

Ive just got into deep water at work because of a link posted on this site in the thread "flirting gone wrong" after it was said to be work safe, it wasnt. Thankfully this is only the first time its happend with the PGAC, and im not saying im not to blame, but when its stated its safe, and not, I dont think thats fair. The admin logged keywords of sex toys, orgy, sex, xxx girls, etc.

Ive talked with the network manager about it and he's let me off with a varble warning, but im not amused.
Regards,
Rob.

the vid didn't contain any nudety swearing or anything, it was just some flirting where the guy rubbed his foot on her leg, but had mud on his shoe and wiped it on her leg.

If he saw CS he'd have a heart attack!!

I've been here a bit longer and I don't remember anyone being given free roam of anywhere. I remember me having a twat of a job removing that crap day in, day out.

The difference you are noticing is perhaps that I'm putting up with it less. I'm sorry that you're sooo sad that you need to post and moan about that but unfortunately things are different, put up with it. The wasters are either gone or going, if you don't want to be one, talk about cars. Crying about how you miss the olden days is understating the amount of negotiation I actually took part in.

These days I don't, and I'll be totally honest, the place is better for it.

Remember the 8 page thread Drew and I had?

Remember the numerous emails and u2us between people?

Remember the effort tidying up when some people who are sad now were happy with their free roam.

I do, and I'm not going back there.

And you can call Karen all you like, there are people just as guilty as seeking attention. If I got rid of it all, this thread wouldn't be here for a start.

'Talk about cars' being my generic answer to talking sensibly about sensible stuff.

Basically not crossing the line. I understand that its not all cars all the time.

OK well I'm glad you've taken your rose tints off and actually considered something other than your own enjoyment. It almost sounded for a minute like you were comparing CS at the moment to CS in the past and coming up with some bad conclusions. I just wanted to be clear that really, if it were so wrong I would be doing something.

I'm not unhappy presently, and I've evidence to suggest that I'm not alone.

Any historians in the audience may wish to look back and comment about the past or even talk about the present, but please don't spend too long comparing the two.

remember when there wasnt an offday!!

Have the gobshite that now gets posted would have no where to go and half teh members wouldnt register in teh first place, the site is better now , the content is not.

Its a catch 22 , like it or lump it.

I think for the future we should get rid of "Car of the month" and have "Gallery of the month", awards go t the garage that is the best presented, images with boreders, cars with fully clothed girls sat on them... or infact just have MEMBER OF THE MONTH awards to the person best contributing to the world... I could be the judge, cos I don't do much else

I generally like Off Day, I just believe that there are lines. Anyone at all could mod - it doesn't actually take any thought, which does make me wonder why stuff gets posted in the first place.

Stuff gets posted to see if people can move the lines, the line has been drawn and people wanna step over it without stepping over it...

Or a newbie posts something and other memers feel it's appropriate, instead of setting examples they go along with it and before ou know it, where's the line gone?...
