So far out of my Network Q warranty for the Astra I have got

*New anti roll bar bushes
*New CD Changer and new stereo
*New Ultra sonic sensor for the alarm
*New Power sounder for the alarm

And the next bit today is I have got a whole new clutch kit.

Getting my moneys worth

All these things were not major problems with the car, and the clutch is only making a kinda rubbing noise and a slight vibration through the peddle when pulling off and I could have lived with it, just might as well make use of my 3 year extended warranty

And vaux actually let you have a new clutch? SEAT are so picky, oneof my headlights is leaking, it took a 3 hour inspection to decide if it was bad enough to replace. My Clutch makes the tiniest vibration when biting, i assumed this was it just being a big old dirty diesel, but is this something to ask about at SEAT?

Hardly loads wrong with it Pete

CD changer was supposed to have been changed before I bought it but had'nt, in the end they ordered me a new headunit and a new CD changer so both are brand new.

The anti roll bar bushes are a common fault on the Astra, at least they won't need doing again now before the car dies.

Alarm, another common fault as the power sounder fcuks up.

The clutch is the only worrying part, but so what I probably won't own it in another 2 years when the warranty is up so, so what?

Sounds better than the warrenty i got with my astra; "the turbo isnt boosting fully and have slight oil leak, looks like maybe the turbo seals" there answer "Im sorry Sir your turbo isn't covered under your engine warrenty!"

Glad the head went on the BMW i traded in 3 days after they got it now:lo: and turned out only to be a blocked pipe or something with the astra £30 at another garage

Kyle - you have paid your money for a new car from them, it should be perfect and if not you should demand its put right. customer is always right

If I had bought a new car and there was a vibration in the clutch peddle I would drop the car outside their workshop and leave it there until they fixed it.

Well I bought the car 2nd hand, from a dude who bought it as an ex demo car from SEAT. I wasnt sure if my shaky clutch really was a problem, as its only very minor, you think its worth asking about?

I did'nt, thats why its gone back in. The alarm kept going off when it was locked, they changed the sensor and thought they had fixed it.

Today its back in there for the power sounder as it did'nt fix it with the sensor.

power sounder is a common fault on the mk4.
Loated behind the trim in the passenger front arch.
alarm will randomly go off any time. using horn and alarm siren.
easy 5 minute fix.
