The hunt for a new car is proving difficult. Just wondering what anyone might suggest I look out for.
My budget is a max of £1600. Im looking for something with at least 100bhp, nothing higher than group 11 insurance. Was hoping to track the car so should be suitable - small and light etc.
So far I have considered a Corsa GSI, Nova GSI & GTE, 106 Rallye & XSi.
Any other suggestions?

Saxo VTR/VTS
VTS is group 14, and VTRs lack power

VTRs have similar power to the cars mentioned
R5 turbo
may be group 14 but they seem to be much cheaper to insure

vtr with vts gear box, will see you well, just as fast as a corsa gsi when stripped. the way it handles would make it a sure fire winner. i know someone who is building one to race and the vtr with vtx box seems the way forward

Yeah thats why i was hoping to pick the car for about a grand or just over, so i have money left over. It will only be tracked once every 2 months if that, all depends when track days come about. I will still use it day to day.
