They are a worthwhile mod but not worth buying from M tec as they are just plates of metal with a huge mark up

Where else would you get them? I can have them nasty Tie bar spacers made up for £10. so i could do the same with these

Far too much

You don't need a kit, just make your own templates and cut the plates up yourself.

ive got that kit on mine, although i got i cheaper than 85 quid but they could be made easily if you dont want to pay top wack. its well worth it, people who put big power xe's or let's in without strengthening are asking for trouble. the car is'nt built for it and the added strength is always the right way to go. in addition to plates seam welding is good if your a track day monster which is how i intend to drive mine

These are weld-on plates AFAIK? I wasnt aware of any cutting

i also have a copy because of the costs..

mtech sells them for 79 euros

i bought mine for 15euro's from a guy who copies them

allready got them installed..

about it being wort it..

take out your frontbumper and rad, look good at the original plates.. poke on them and be amazed

a lot of the engine power goes tru these points.. my picts can be found at:

Templates available, anyone able to make them ? Laser- or watercutting would be ideal for the job (it's not exactly sheetmetal)

(the plates are 5mm thick)

LAzser cut woudl be easily enouigh done if there was enough interest, I'd suggest some 12mm holes in it larger plates to do plug welds to increase the strengthing of the plate.
