Im going to be driving down to collect some stuff from High Wycombe and then Hertford sometime next week. Might take the gf with me as she is off work, so was wondering if anyone knows of any decent hotels around the Hertford area moving back up towards MK (as heading back to Manchester so anywhere on the way in that direction would be fine).

On the m1, near northampton you have Cheney Grange holiday inn, the south east crew stayed there in 2004 before tracks and it was good service and lush rooms
about £60 a night

Well, if you look in location services then you can search for hotels. Or you could even search for hotels on Google. All hotels are the same, they all cost about £40/night and they all have tv's. It's only when you are looking for a decent 5* one where it makes a difference.
