Top this for a bad day.
Some drunken bum drove managed to write off my car last night and took out another 4 at the same time
A street full of tightly parked cars, he comes up the road, skids and rams clean into all of them taking the sides off as he goes, I ask you,
Alcohol and driving in this day and age
I am very pisssed off

Drink driving on the increase due to this society's obsession with drink.

i actually think the new liscencing laws are a good idea. As people will eventually get over the novelty.
But bound to have some negative effect.

not really tho...
yeah sensible drinkers like you say, the novelty will wear off...
but those who just drink for the sake of it... only way they will get over it is when they die due to liver failure!

totally agree
people drink to be "sociable" all they end up being is anti-social
binge drinking is a scourge on modern society, bring back prohibition i say

I dont think its anything to do with prohibition at all.
I think education and a better morality standard would bring things back to rights.
Thatll never happen tho

There will always be arguments for and against, but having 24 hour drinking means that there is'nt a rush for people to drink 6.4 million pints in a certain time scale, therefore meaning that peoples drinking is staggered through the night, rather than everyone getting thrown out of pubs at the same time resulting in anti social behaviour.

The only staggering I've seen is done by the chavs round here who can't handle all the cider they've put away.
