I would say that clear diction and making sure your hands don't fidget are important. Appearance wise making sure you have had a shave, your clothes are ironed and hair looks good is always a winner.

Exactly, suit and tie wont look good if your being interviewed to be a builders labourer

Dress accordingly and smart. Best thing is to know as much about the company as possible

if i was you i would think of a specific job and then base it on that.

In my line of work being able to strike up a rappour from the first moment is one of the best skills you can have with the kind of client we look after, so even though you might have loads of the specific qualifications you need we as a company believe anyone can do these but if you can't build up a relationship what is the point

have probably confused you more now

If you decide to do it on applying for a kids home with challenging behaviour teenagers i will be happy to help as i interview

Maintain eye contact, but do not stare, used active listening techniques such as leaning forward to listen to a question, showing attentiveness, then return to an upright position to answer - dont lean back or slouch as this gives the appearance of cockyness or flippancy.

For an interview where you have to put your best side over the interviewer does read a book by its cover. face, hair and clothes is the primary concern for the creating that pefect first impression. Walk into an intevew unshaven, bad hair and scruff clothes will turn the prospective employer off straight away.
