help pls... I want to change my hair style to something funky.. I currently have blonde hair with dark brown underneath and want to have a total re-style...any tips???

Quite though of having some red in but ive known a few people to have said that red never keeps its colour and fades real quick

If you were brunette then having red in your hair would look good but it dies fade quite quickly and ends up a sort of orange-y colour. I used to have to have mine re-done every few weeks thank goodness i didnt pay but it also damaged the hair alot.
Do you only want to change the colour of the cut aswell?

I try and keep up to having it done every 13 weeks or so. I just want to change the colour. At the minute I have short layers at the back and shoulder length hair, thought about growing it

Not too short at the back... But when i forst had this style done i loved the blonde and brown contrast, yes at funky!

How about going brunette and having blonode chunks but in to show off your layers. So the top section would be brown (chocolate/dark brown) as well as the underneath section and where your layers are there would be sections (about an inch) that would be blonde.
This technique is used to show the contrasting layers of the cut and to emphasise the short and long sections

Have it chocolate brown and have it foiled caramel and red
I have brown and half head of foils in Caramel and it looks nice
