Thing is even though people know it's bullet proof, I wouldn't buy one due to resale and the fact all of the other bits have 105k worth of wear and tear.

Nothing for a HONDA.
Honda have made 5million vtec systems over the years and not ONE has ever gone wrong.

only thing that puts me off about high mileage is the general wear and tear of components on the car like suspension etc. and as ant says the interior. Also would imagine bodywork to have alot of stone chips

I wouldn't mate. As people have said the engine should be fine but other wear and tear and also the trouble of selling it on again.
Go for something sensible like a Daewoo Matiz 900cc thing, i think my nan has got one for sale

Id prefer to buy a teggy with 105k on than a BMW anyday. But to be honest I wouldnt buy any car with that mileage on.
As said the recaros would probably be shagged for that mileage.
Better to ask to honda revs or www.itr-dc2.com anyways

v-tec is the variation in cam lobes when hitting a certain oil pressure. 2 cracked cam lobes out of 3 is a v-tec failure-end of.

if it was cheap i would buy it, i was reading on a honda forum about just how many accord's and preluge's have done over 150-200k and still going strong.
these engines seem to be bullet proof, only thing that seems to kill them off is oil starvation
