Last week I arrived home in the snow and drive down my drive way. As I did there was my grandparents car, they had parked there car completley in the way.
Anyways brakes on and I slid into my Grandads 55 plate Nissan Tino. That then went into the back of my dads Saab!!
Anyways went into and explained what had happened. My car and my dad Saab are fine and no damage at all!! Lifted the bonnet and fine.
My Grandads car had no visible damage, and they went home happy as larry.
Anyways, this is where I get pissed off.
I get a phone call the following day at 9.00am, and he explains that his boot wouldn't shut properley. He had already been down to Nissan and they had quoted him £400-£500 for repair!!
I explain I am not going through insurance, as I need my NCB. He insists on taking it to the local Nissan dealership, even though I explained they rip you off.
He books it it and they say its then going to be £613.
I get a phone call yesterday after the estimate saying its now going to be £828 as another part was needed.
I am not happy!! I cannot believe my grandparents are happy to see me get ripped off!!
The annoying thing is. My grandad could have phoned the insurance company, and told them he came back to his car a carpark and saw damage. He has protected NCB and his excess is only £75 which I would have paid! Wankers!!

Why not just deny it to your insurance then?
If your grandad is gonna be a dick you may aswell stretch it out and deny everything, you might get away with it.

Well if they wanted to pay for the damage, I'd have taken the car to a local bodyshop.
The annoying thing is my dads in the motor trade, but they blatently ignored him when he said that Nissan will rip you off.

If they can afford a 55 plate motor, they cant be short of a bob or two, i say apolagise, and say you cant afford it, i know if it was my grandparents they would just say "dont worry about it love as long as you are ok" etc etc
you never know they may pay for it...
