Went to fix some stuff and they asked me to come back and make guest appearances helping out with a new course. I now run it.
Didn't need the degree to get the job, but it will help in the near future when I go for more stuff.

Got bored when i was in hospital, so got my mum to bring in my laptop and did a few websites for small companies for next to nothing.
Got out of hospital and could not walk properly so decided to work from home, went to the job center and they put me on a scheme where i could start up a business and get my sick benfiets to live on for 6 months, though any money i made had to be reinvested for the first 6 months.
Made enough to pay the bills so decided to carry on doing it.

Started as a scivy on a helpdesk and worked my way up over the years, have no 'real' qua;ifications , as the company use there own internal branded qualifications , so pretty worthless outside , this is to keep us from leaving

11 GCSE's - at not even good grades (2 A's, 7 B's and 2 C's) blew them away
they were really impressed, probably because half the people there cant read or write and the others are just plain stupid

Computer Engineer
Was a lazy job seekers allowance bum for 2 years after leaving school, they got fed up of me, sent me on a training course at college (Microsoft IT System Support Technician) for 2 days a week and found me a unpaid work placement for the other 3 days per week (at my current employers). I was forced to do this for 6 months and then i went back to be a lazy bum again for a further 6 months. Then they were going to send me on another course doing the same again so i figured i might aswell get myself a propper paid job instead since i was going to be forced to work unpaid again. So i got in touch with the company i'd done the unpaid work experience with, they offered me a job, and here i am today.
My contract was due to be reviewed 3 months ago (after 12 months of employment) and i was intending to ask for a pay rise. Since they are quite clearly taking advantage of me now, i will be demanding a pay rise when i return tomorrow otherwise seeking an alternative form of employment..

No, i was signing on for over a year when they sent me on the course... Then i did the course for 6 months, then back on dole doing nothing for 6 months, then they were going to sent me on another course..
1 year > 6 month course > 6 months > 6 month course > 6 months > 6 months course > 6 months > 6 months course > etc etc etc

A student of mine was on Jobseekers and they took him out of college to put them on a course/work placement with them. Came to nothing, they phoned me up 6 months after withdrawning the lad and said we've got a lad here wants to do a college course what have you got for him. I explained they stopped him achieving the first time round. Lunacy.
