I have a modified corsa. it is a 1400 sri with full kit big rims and it is nice and low and loads of other bits. this car was my dream a few years back but i am 22 next month and have been given £4000. Should i xe the corsa and repaint it or sell it and buy something a bit more grown up.

LET for the money nothing will match it performance/cost to run/insure wise.

BUT, youll need to lear na bit about engines, u dont have to be a genius but itl save u a fortune

IMO id sell it if theres something you fancy, if not keep it and LET it

Nonsense.

Its virtually the same thing. The LETs cost more, and theres more maintenance costs but they are no more or less reliable than an xe. All the time ive had mine, ive never had a problem with the actual engine. In all the time mines been off the road, Mykes XE has been off the road for an identical amount of time.

They are old engines, so rubbers, wires etc all weather. The more money you spend the more "reliable" your engine will be, they require care and attention all the time.

the nova lump was scary enough. that was an easy swap. just had to change ocer the mounts. a LET is a bit more than that i am sure

I personally would sell it and get something newer bigger and faster. Like you said above your adding an extra 4k to an L reg car when im guessing you have spent a few k's on it already...
