Got 2 quotes that are pretty similar for the Astra GSi.

Elephant want £917 for 10 months, which will be good as it will get the insurance away from christmas next year! and ive done quotes if i had a few more mods on there and it was still good!

Adrian Flux want £1021 for 12 months, their excess is abit higher but are they going to be a better insurer if i modify more!

thoughts please, also any other places i can try

Go for 12mths

Reason being some insurers now ask if your NCB was bonus accelerator - in which case they wont take it as a full years no claims.

i think i got a quote through confused for admiral and they werent as good, and elephant are run by admiral anyway so doubt it will differ much!

all the places ive phoned round today havnt asked if the NCB is accelerated!

they offer 12 months aswell but i just thought it would be nice to get it away from christmas!

Sam those 10 month bonus programs only give you NCB with that company so if you want to move away you get no NCB!!!

I say Flux myself as they have been excelent to me.

TBH i can not be FOOKED to phone all those numbers

I think il just go with Flux as they offer like for like and they have a good rep!

adrian flux was a bit of a nightmare on the T4..

Phoned up and changed policy from xe corsa to T4....

then phoned up to add mods later and they said, oh but you haven't got a modified policy, i was like cause it was standard when i bought it..

had 4 page form to fill in to add wheels etc......sorted now though.

With direct line gave me a cheaper quote than elephant and monthly payment is 0% interest

Id reccomend Flux thouroughly.

Their customer service has been excellent bar one operater the rest have been really really helpfull.

they have seemed fine as yet and phoned a few times!

ive declared the zorst so i will have a modified policy i would have thought!

i think its the same with all companies though people have good and bad experiences really, not alot you can do about it!

they are the only 2 companies to offer the best quotes, just feel abit safer with flux than elephant thats all!

Had the 10month policys on the tigra then moved somewhere else and it wasnt a problem, still got all my NCB

Admiral was cheaper than elephant on my coupe. Confused said Admiral was about £1100, but went direct to Admiral and it was £740! Maybe try their site

Brentacre for me, Everytime i've phoned up they have been spot on and know what they are talking about. And they were the cheapest.

brentacre were really really really really nice when i phoned them!

Flux were cheaper tho So had to go with them, i am glad tho as they have been really really helpful with my claim

Elephant are brilliant!!

UK Call centres, no long times waiting. Can do quotes online..

Have heard bad things about flux, highway are shite also.

elephant are a shoot company, was with them for two years! havnt got a clue about cars!!
Mind you, Flux thopught that id put a 2.5 16v into my car! :S

My mate was insured with elephant and yeah they are cheap but when he come to claim it takes ages for them to pay out. Plus they don't like modified car and 9/10 they won't give you a quote if it is modified.

Me myself have always being with CIS always give me cheap quotes and paid out straight away when i claimed and that was modified. Now im with flux as they were over £800 cheaper on my 106 gti with all the modifications declared and breakdown cover. Plus they know what their talking about when it comes to cars.
