Our on-call van has just clocked over 140,000 in 1 year. We average 2000 miles a week.

about 10k, im insured for 8 though

however, the car has done an average of 6 in the 3 years i've owned it

abou 25-30k, go up to scotland most weekends and then all over country through week

Our Van is an 04 reg and I told the company they should just lease coz the van will clock up so many miles. They wouldn't listen and its developing mileage-related problems now. They'll probably have to buy a new one within 6 months.

My corsa was bought with 22686 miles on it on 2nd dec 2000 and i sold it in march this year with 64736 on. I bought my clio on 21st march this year with 9 miles on it and now it has 7478 on it.

do about 8k-9k. Luckily everywhere i go is very local to me, but i hear short journeys are no good for the old car!

personally, i think owning a car is not worth it if you only do less than 8k a year.
tax is a joke, petrol a bigger joke, and with all the parking fines etc you have to wonder a bit.

But then again public transport is a bigger joke, a friggin league of it's own actually!
