I'll be quick...
You get corsa's all the way back to 'K' Reg right? and some people on here the other day said Nova's go to M or N reg? Would that mean that Vauxhall were making the Nova and its successor at the same time for 3 years? Why would they replace a car but keep making it?

They were'nt being made, they were unregistered shells that people bought on the cheap.
I've never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever seen a M-reg or N-reg in my entire life, not even in a picture so take what people say with a pinch of salt.

In reality they are K reg shells tho, all the reg means is when the car was first registered. sometimes they got held back before going to dealers and got an L or M reg...

Corsa was first available for registration March 1993, which means there were only 5 months of K reg Corsas.
While Corsa vans were not available you could still get Nova vans, and many of these were L registered.
There are also some Nova GSi on L reg, presumably because they either didn't sell before the Corsa GSi became available, or because Corsa GSis were in short supply so some people had ordered Novas instead.
It would only take one to sit in a compound for a few extra months to be registered late, nothing particularly special about the car. M reg is very late though. Thats sat built for quite a while if its not a kit car.
I've seen Vauxhall do it with Astra also, V reg mk 3 convertible because mk 4 convertible wasn't ready.
BMW also did this with E36 convertible when E46 came out.

Your talking 1996, surely the Fiesta van would have been avaliable?
Why would someone go to the trouble with a Nova?

the corsa gsi wasnt available at k-reg anyway,
ive seen p-reg cav's and l-reg nova's and 1 m-reg van, but thats it,
the idea of the corsa not being the predecessor for the nova is utter pish cos its a corsa on the continent just not here,
l,m,n-reg or whatever nova's are all 1993 shells, but some companies will have bought the cars/van's as unregistered from vauxhall and kept them for the changeover date for the company meaning they must of been relaible/good vans,
its like the old rover sd1, when rover announced they were stopping production the police stocked up on them cos in their eyes they were the best persuit vehicle of all time,
