went out for a mates bday for the weekend in manchester. no offence to anyone who lives up there but the people seem so far up there own arses, its unbeliveable. us lot nearly got into 3 fights, just not doing anything wrong. bouncers there think they rule the world. couldnt allow us in as we had coats on, over our shirts, WTF. the only highlight of manchester was long legs (strip club) all these city nights arent good at all, spent 120quid, and had the shittest night ever. the club tiger tiger is nothing special at all. so overall not impressed with manchester neither were all of my mates.

rant over now

Seriously tho..You had a wank time, because you're some country-boy outsider thinking you could just turn up and have the greatest life of your night. Afraid not, if you knew where you were going you'd have a good time

Manchester is one of the best nights out you can have...there are so many different areas with different types of places that you cant help but find a good time somewhere.

As loaf said, you only had a bad time as you mustnt of gone to the decent places.

Where did you not get in? And where did you go that was shit?

Plus every night is different, I had a good night in Barnsley the other day, usually have a shit one. Depends on how the night unfolds etc.
If it was pissing it down then thats a downer to start with, If you had pulled rather than nearly had 3 fights then it would have been good, depends who you come across on your night out.

I've not been to Manchester but all the Cities i've been to in the North have always been good. Off to Cardiff this weekend, we'll see how that goes!

You name it i've been out there. Been to MADCHESTER a fair few times and although it is a big city, to be fair I didn't think it was all that good. Everywhere is far too spread out, far too overly priced and has over the odds in terms of d*ck population knocking around. Alot of people living there seem to be sitting up there on that high horse because they "believe" they're living the "dream" in a "cosmopolitan" city.

Not saying I wouldn't go out there again just not out of choice... unless... there's a good line-up at Sanky's (Groove Armada and 2ManyDJ's there soon ;-p), and do think you have the right idea in terms of Teasers bar. LOL.

I mean i've been to worse and had a worse night out in other cities but wouldn't say that Manchester was up there with the likes of Sheffield, Newcastle, Nottingham or Leeds.

well i can see where everone is coming from, i prob never went to the right places, but loads of my mate have been to uni round there, and say the nightlife isnt good at all. they tend to go leeds alot, or come back home at weekends.

tiger_kpt i agree so much when u say:

"Alot of people living there seem to be sitting up there on that high horse because they "believe" they're living the "dream" in a "cosmopolitan" city."

this is true. but people who live there might say that about other places i can honestly say i wont be going back there for a night out. next i think will be leeds or cardiff but everyone has different nights, i could of had a shit night, and go next time and b great.

Sounds like you guys are upset because there's a certain level of standard as to who gets in. I'm not gonna apologise on behalf of manchester just because you didn't get in in your rockport and burberry jackets

Right, well I live right in the centre and Im out atleast 3 nights a week normally. In that time I have seen about 1 fight, and only bumped into a few chavs who get a bit cocky.

Im not sure where abouts you went but seriously dont let it stop you going back and doing Manchester properly.

I mean for starters why the hell were you up by tigertiger...you would of been best going down towards the Locks, or atleast around peter street!!

Loaf isnt normally too bad, but if it is a busy night they will find stupid ways of not letting certain people in....still though, white shoes

It is a top night round there though so dont let one bad time put you off, plus their might be a new place opening up there that Im involved in that'll be quality
