I never participated or created any jokes regarding these persons & or events as its downright disrepectful to their memories.

If something awful happened to you or one of your family died and people cracked jokes you would not find it so funny then.

Humour is a wonderful part of humanity and there is such a scope for jokes that you should never have to resort to making fun off other peoples misfortunes.

theres no honour left in the world and certainly not much respect.

Why did you open this thread? Did you think it was going to be anything other than a joke? Or did you feel the uncontrolable need to be a kill joy and come steaming in here with your self-righteous views? Although I partly agree, its always going to happen. Heck its not as if I created any of the jokes.

Self righteous? I dont see how my comments are that.

I only stated that these jokes are disrespectful.

So in your view im not allowed to comment that the taste of this joke is disrespectful and this makes me a kill joy??

you would find it disrepesctful if a close member of your family was an obese barstad and died as a result of his weight and then we were cracking jokes about who eat all the pies.

I can see where jambo is coming from with his comment, but the only information we have is what we read in the press, yes its a fact that he abused alcohol but we dont know what went on in his life behind clothes doors. For someone to abuse alcohol to that degree they must have some serious problems/issues in their lives.

no if some one died as a result of being a fat bastard and he was a family member i wouldnt go off on one if people said he died eating all the pies i would agree, i really wouldnt care, i dont get why people get so upset about jokes ect there just words .

my grandad fell over the otherday and broke his shoulder as hes pretty old , within about an hour some one said to him (from my own family) gis a wave (as obviously he couldnt move his arm up that far) and he found that funny as did every one else.

just harmless fun isnt it.
