As ive got fridays off in december i was thinking of going away for a weekend with my boyfriend. Not sure if we would leave on thursday night and returning on sunday sometime or leave friday morning and again returning on sunday sometime.

Anyway, where would be a good place to go for a weekend to just relax and spend some time together before the hoo-ha of christmas. It would most probably be the weekend of the 16th so probably be even colder than now.

I was thinking of Dublin or the Lake District (but its 5 hours away). Anyone got any ideas?

Centre Parcs is good!!

Mate has just taken his gf away from Friday lunchtime to Monday midday.

Is £250 to stay in a hotel room. Then you have to pay for activities on top of that.

Our cottage was £150 for 2 nights, with kitchen, living room, bedroom and a bathroom.

We were right up in the valleys near a pub and a couple of other cottages so it was very quiet. Was in the country so we went for a few walks, then had lunch in the cottage then we went to the local town and had a wonder round there and of an evening we went to the pub

It was nice, i would go back there as well as they guy who owned it was really nice and made sure we were settled then he left us alone for the whole weekend.

Had tea and scones waiting for us when we arrived as well

Anywhere abroad over the weekend is gonna cost, unless its really done on the cheap by using hostels and booking easyjet flights weeks in advance.
