MYTH - Coffee sobers you up.
FACT - Coffee does not help the liver burn-up alcohol in any way. Coffee will only wake you up, so you have a wide awake drunk instead of a sleepy drunk - if this is a benefit! Similarly a cold shower will get you a wet drunk, and a run round the block will give you a tired drunk. Time is the only factor in the action of the liver removing alcohol from your body.

Fructose in oranges helps speed up the process iirc. Have a pint of pure orange juice for your last drink.

Its impossible to calculate as everyone is different, and yes if you drink more it takes longer. My advice would be get pissed, don't worry, then get a cab to work. So long as work don't mind and you're not doing anything dangerous, you may as well take the worry free option and enjoy the night.

takes 1 hour for the body to break down each unit of alcohol apparently - don't quote me on that though it might not be true

cant belive u needed to ask that question
the more alcohol you drink, then more alcohol is in your system simple maths lol.
it wil be the situation where, you wake up in the moring, and you not feleing drunk or pissed, but if you got stoppe dyou would fail as its still in your blood.

im usually in bed for about 10 hours after a night out and go to bed drunk and hence dont calculate how long it takes to sober up, im out on the piss tonight anyway with no worries in the morning, i dont mind not gettin wasted on the sat night, will save me a few pennies on a cab aswell.

ive used the formula:
one hour per unit starting from 2 hours after your first drink
so if u drank 10 units in 4 hours, it would take 12 hours for it to all be gone
not sure if this is exact, but ive never had trouble with it

take a loaf of hovis with you when you go out. One slice per pint.
