Any good? Thinking of selling the corsa 1.2 for a Saxo VTR.. Does anyone here own a saxo or know anyone that does? What's the speed like on these things are they pretty fast?

Opinions please

Yeah anything is better than the Corsa lol! But, are the VTR's pretty nippy? I know they're a 1.6 but they're 8v and I don't know how much that brings them down?

I was in the same situation as you my friend. regardless of peoples views on here I bought one and I have to say I am quite impressed(probably the reason being that i havn't driven another powerful car), but i am very happy with it as I got a great deal. They are quite nippy as they only weigh 920kg. Only think I would say if you are going to get one:

Make sure you buy the 98bhp model
Look for bad interior as saxo's seem to fall apart easy.

Also another thing that gets on my tits whenever I drive hers is the fact that when I brake I sometimes touch the accelerator pedal at the same time as they are way too close together

So you say go for it? I've had enough of the corsa and things keep going wrong and got a feeling the engine will die soon...

So I think it's time to sell

Well i have had no problems qith mine matey, it came with FSH and T&T, mint condition.

Obviously i would have went for VTS or 106GTI but i wouldn't afford the insurance either.

People on here disagree, some are biased some are not. I like mine

I hate gimps on this board who try to think they're funny by taking the piss.. I did the car how I wanted and spent the money on it that I wanted. But if that's your opinion and many others then fair does.

I keep finding bits of plastic floating about in my Saxo. I've got a little pile now in the shed No idea where they all go either. Nothing is loose or rattling so i gave up looing for holes for the bits to fit in

My old 106 was built a bit better than the Saxo, but it was 6 years old so i had to let her go I once had to drive it in my socks becuase i had these huge boots on

i went from a 1.2 corsa (tank) to a 02 plate VTR.

Jesus the speed difference is very noticable.

Monkey...you can't compare a 1.6 corsa to a vtr as the corsa is 16v and the vtr 8v!

A VTS which is a 16V would piss on a 1.6 corsa.

I say go for the vtr...screw staying faitful to vauxhalls...they're wank mostly
