Although its stupid how people are shooting each other etc I still don't think people realise how serious this is. Most people have NOTHING left after this, suplies are limited & running out fast. There's no wonder people are going on shooting spree's, there just trying to stay alive! No one has any sympathy for the yanks at all. I was listening to the radio yesterday & people were calling up saying that is was their own fault because they didn't evacuate the city when they were warned about katrina. What everyone doesn't know is that they couldn't evacuate, there were simply too many people trying to get out at once. 80% of the town is submerged which means that 80% of a large American city now needs to be rebuilt. Thats one hell of a natural disaster!
Maybe my viewpoint is a little differant due to the fact that my mum & dad only just managed to get out in time. They got the very last flight out of new orleans before katrina hit. They could be missing/stranded/dead right now, luckily there not.
I generally dont like americans, I know many on here also don't like their cocky attitude & their self righteousness. The people who inhabite New Orleans are not the cocky & arrogant ones, there the down to earth priendly welcoming ones. Its a shame it had to happen to them really
