IMO, and a lot of other peoples we should be playing Lampard, Gerrard, Joe Cole and Carrick as the holding playing in midfield, drop Beckham.
Defoe and Rooney up front.

Not on the border of crisis, just lacking a manager with balls and passion and the ability to change the formation when things are'nt working.
I think they should get Dario Gradi as England manager, the miracles he works at Crewe season after season with no money is amazing, Premiership managers have it easy with there big pots of money, I mean I could manage Chelsea FFS.

Get Stuart Pearce involved in the set up, having him barking orders from the touchline would be enough to rally the troops.

Leave Sven in charge, but have Stuart Pearce working on a PT basis with McClaren and Sven and the best players this country has to offer and he will become a excellent manager.

this is not about domestic league problems, we are talking about national teams. not money or anything like that. euro2004 i wish not to speak of, all i will say is, we didnt lose a game, won 5 points, and still didnt manage to qualify due to the only result that wud put us out.
