Do you have it ? Im proud of you if you do, maybe we could put our pc's together one day and both sit next to each other flying a 747 towards Ibiza and pretend its real, turn all the light off.
I would love that

LMAO, first you have to file a flight plan, set fuel load according to number of passengers/cargo, confirm with ATC that ok to depart according to flight plan, get take-off clearance, maintain speed of less than 250kts below 10,000ft, set power to climb at 1500fpm, monitor weather conditions, keep contact with ATC, follow FMC guidelines so that autopilot knows correct heading when approaching VORS, contacting airport and setting decent rate and speed, maintaining communication with ATC to correct co-ords to airport, setting trim levels, remembering approach procedure for ILS approach, setting gear and flaps, touching down (hard part) taxiing to the gate and shutting down aircraft. between each comma is about 10 different other smaller tasks

Im thinking of buying flight sim, but dont want to get addicited
I see loads of expansion packs on amazon, what are they like as they are aftermarket (3rd party) companies not microsoft.

the aftermarket scene is absolutely massive, probably the biggest of any game/simulation on the market. the best are
PMDG - www.precisionmanuals.com and http://www.flight1.com/. Flight 1 publish the LevelD 767 package which is the most advanced ever made. completely replicates a real flight, every single button does something in the virtual cockpit.
The freeware market is also booming with great aicraft coming from www.projectopensky.com and www.ifdg.net to name a few. www.avsim.com is the best place to go for FS news and a MASSIVE file library with everything imaginable to download for free. Aircraft, Scenery, sound files, pretty much everything
