It's is close to call but......
An average grain of sand is about 0.25mm diameter. The earths shorelines add up to about a million and a half km, and the average beach extends about 50km and is 1metre deep. Packing the sand grains very loosely you get 64 per cubic mm which works out at 4,800,000,000,000,000,000,000 or rounding up to allow for loose packing just under 5 thousand billion billion.
Meanwhile, the current estimate for the number of galaxies in the universe is 50 billion. If we assume that each of these is about the same size as the Milky Way, then there are about 100 billion stars in each (though only about 6000 are visible in our night sky).
Total 5 thousand billion billion

It's not a cut and paste google job anyway. Someone told me it years ago and I've always wondered if it was true then that article was in the Express last sat as someone sent in the question

Not only does your cut and paste theory job suck and blow, but there is significant evidence to suggest you are GHEY.
When it comes to grains of sand, which is simply a form of silica, there could be a trillion times that amount you suggested, since sand envelopes the massive desserts found in arid countries, as well as comprising most of the ocean floor.
In all honesty, no single or collective persons have a fucking clue about whats out in the universe beyond the so called interstellar belt.

Filling your arsecrack with crunchy peanut butter, then later scooping it out and eating it in front of your parents will get you put in a mental home.
Fact.

Ive heard of the sand one aswell.
Fact:
If a 20tonne and a 50tonne weight go off a cliff at the same time they'll hit the ground the same time.

how do you work this one out?
if you were to drop 20 stone of feathers and 20 stone of bowling balls off a cliff then yes they would hit the ground at the same time....
not sure on yours though

There are more factors to consider than weight alone, drag co-efficient being one.

Terminal velocity will be the same but time taken to get there - if at all - will differ.

It will end up falling the same speed but it will accelerate quicker if its mass sufficiently outways the amount of drag it generates.
