got student loan coming up and is a possible engine change route. but i know the 2.0's are heavy as fuck and handling is quite bad. alot of overster. would a tuned up 1.6 (lets say tb's for example) be better handling because its a lighter, smaller engine? i'm assume price isn't gonna be much different

the diffence in handling is small

the difference in power is enough to warrant getting the 2.0ltr...

either way you will eventually get bored of it and want something quicker...

yeah understeer..

but really with a half decent suspension set-up the handling is good....the handling in mine is good...well except when you boot it in the wet going round corners...

1.6 tunning is the ways forwards

my plan now i reckon is a lightend and blanced bottom end, proper remapp, pocketed pistons and more lairy cams, and some form of seal indution form my new air intake

it works out cheaper geting a valver than buying a 1.6 and tuning it. + when you start making small engines more powerful they tend to fuck up! get a 2.0l turbo, i whent out in my cousins the other day and ended up beating a porsche 911 Turbo

I've done a P-Reg wide arched turbo 911, don't underestimate LET's

Back on topic! Both the 1.6 and 2.0 routes have pros and cons! Either way you will end up with a quick car if done right!

JR is a perfect example of how to tackle the 1.6 route!
