Apparently, the bonnet flipped up at the garage, but that's rubbish, because it is too heavy to flip up.

They weren't going to fix it though untill my brother said he wouldn't pay them for the MOT. If they did it, they should pay the damages.

Exactly! Thats what they said though, that they were going along at 30 and the boot flew up, but they were covering something up, because they is no way, with two catches that the bonnet came up like that.

They say they are only going to pay for the windscreen. My brother is only just 18, he was pretty upset about it, plus he can't sfford to pay for it, wich he shouldn't have to i don't think, because it's the garages fault!

why the hell were they driving it anyway?, they must have taken it out for a run and forgot to close the bonnet properly after doing the mot.
Its gonna cost a lot more than the price of an mot to fix that but Im sure they will pay up if you grief them.

Ok, i will tell him when he is back from work. There is no way he should have to pay for this. I would be well annoyed and pissed off if that was my car, so i am guessing he feels pretty sh1t about it. I can't believe they blatantly lied about it though to try and save their own backs.

the car is in their possession and they could claim its only their fault once the MOT has taken place..
hence it had as from what you say they have untook the MOT and then taken it for a drive...
if they took it for an immediate drive to see if there was anything obvious was up then they could get around it...
unsure how MOTS work
