As some of ya know i went to have my car rolling roaded yesterday...

me and a mate with a williams clio engine converted 1.8 16v clio went along,

all week he has been telling me how his clio will piss all over my xe corsa, and i started to belive him when i went out in his.

on the way there he decided to boot it from a roundabout so i followed, and i sat on his back bumper throttling off till about 90.

he is extremaly pissed off due to this.

but any ways, got to the rolling road and they put car on rollers, only to find the front bumper hit the rollers, so we had to take it off.

then he ran it up, i couldnt belive the sound, it was so loud!!!

my spec is, c20xe (fully rebuilt) 2 1/4in full stainless powerflow system, indction kit.

i hit a whopping 171.1bhp with 160lbs/ft

heres the graph..

im well chuffed

yes, 90% of rolling roads over calibrate to make the customer feel they have achieved something, plus things like air pressure and temp on teh day make things diff, what did estimate transmission loss to be?

and the graph too, power curve is a little liner esp compaired to the torque curve generated. the important thing to take away from it is it's a healthy engine.

ahh thats why then 16% transmission loss, should be about 25% trans loss, which would give you 153bhp which is more realisitic

skinz.... think you are confused

More transmission loss = higher 'estimated' flywheel reading

25% loss would give 184bhp

Was it a 3rd gear run?

its the sudden increase in torque at the end that looks a bit funny. also is the torque curve of an XE not a bit flatter?

Will not have the normal midrange torque do to the SFi box being removed.

should be flatter looks well linear as mentioned before. Althought did you say your mate got around the 150 bhp mark? which is the norm for a clio Williams so cant be that far off the truth I guess?

without the SFi box the torque changes....

less peak, but wider 'curve'

so more constant torque higher up the revs..... ken... giving higher bhp..

BHP = rpm*torque/5252
