Please read this thread, it is entirely true, i a little unsure how the police have enough solid evidence to take this to court but its still happening

Yeah it does, I'm reading it now. From what I can gather someone posted something in a private forum which has since been read by the police, who have then arrested the poster.

lol unless there is photographic/video evidence explain how they can charge him. using comments on a web forum is not a confession which even those can be changed

Depends if they interview and get a statement which substantiates it. The web evidence is worth very little but its clearly enough to attract attention.

Ah now I see why

well It's her own stupid fault for doing it.

they must have the confession from the person that actually owned the car then for it to stand up in court. without that I can't see how you'd prove it

LOL she confesses to it too she really is stupid

Mark, there's not much in the thread aside from a load of people sympathising. From what I can gather she posted about taking points for someone else and has been charged with perverting the course of justice.

basically she took the points for someone else and posted it on the forum. someone informed the police and she and someone else is getting done for perverting the course of justice.

quite funny how people are commenting about the police not having anything better to do. yeah like doing their job is nothing better to do

If its so easy to secure a conviction like that, finding out who doesn't declare mods must be a piece of cake. Word of warning indeed.

What, if you're going to break the law don't post it? I think if you have sufficient contempt to do both, you're not going to pay much attention to the disclaimer.

Thing is with mods though, its self policing, the insurance just don't pay out. Less paperwork.

Not really, if you post that you were speeding then whats to say you were. If you say you took points for your mate, and you have some points, well there you are.

if you have a vid of you driving a car on public roads with it clearly showing the speed limit to be exceeded then there you go
