Due to a change of ownership etc and not realsing the club no longer had a license, the place where we normally go was opened last night but the music had to be on at bar levels, and it was illegal for anyone to dance! My mate got dragged out by the bouncers for dancing, it was sooo funny cos she was still trying to dance as they were taking her outsde

Taken off their messageboards...
"This afternoon we had a visit from representatives of the PUBLIC ENTERTAINANCE LICENCE to inform us that due to The previous owner (When it was scream) allowing the Licence to lapse (several months ago) it is illeagal for us to open 2night with any sort of loud music & it is illegal for anybody to dance. Having paid the money for Zinc already though we have decided to open as a bar, music will be as low as the music in your average bar & NOBODY WILL BE ALLOWED TO DANCE!!!! Zinc will still be playing & it will be FREE ENTRY to anybody who decides that they are coming. I know this is really shit, I'm as pissed off as you lot are (probably more so!) but it will all be in order by next weekend (big shout to the council 4 the weeekends leeway- not) SORRY EVERYONE! Come down to 'BAR LOCK UP' Anyway (but dont for the love of god dance (the law is a farce)!)"

no disrepect mate, and not a dig at you in anyway, but it is not illegal to dance in a club, nor do you have to obtain a specific license to be able to allow customers to dance inside your premises.

Singing is not dancing!
I'm not using licensed copyright material when dancing

Lyrics and singing are a different story.

i can dance where i like and will when i choose. Eat my ass you butt-freak bastards!

it's nothing to do with copyrights, its about providing entertainment for your customers.
singing/dancing both entertaining. it was an example

ok then...
an act dancing on stage "entertaining people" is different to customers dancing on the premises.

Fuck entertainment, i can walk in to any club i like, regardless of licenses and dance you fcuker!

yeah you can, and probably you wouldn't be caught out, but when it's the clubs license at stake, i'm sure they'd be pretty quick to eject you.

i don't care what anyone says, you don't have to have a license to dance.
