Yeah but i find the vestax a little too flimsey on the speed compared to the technics ?

Yeah you know the speed controls ? the technics seem very stiffer and stronger / more responsive compared to the vestax
Strange as Vestax got a much better review than technics

there all the same once there direct drive... the only thing i dont like about my technics is the pitch control around the quartzlock... its has a little balbaring that makes the pitch control move to much... a pain... this was fixed on the mark 4 aand mark 5 models
still prefare my technics over any other deck ive used...
have to get a set of cd decks to mess around with...

Yeah might be Dave
I agree the PDX2000's are far more superior and more advanced but the technics just see a little bit more solid.

you dont need all there stupid features that the vestax has like reverse and shit... also a song sounds silly at anything more than +/- 8 pitch

Reverse is great, i use it here and there to be honest.
Also i know what you mean about the speed but some garage bass line tunes you can speed up to mix with drum n bass and you wouldn't notice the difference...
It is a little bit pointless i guess but functions are better than no functions
