if its a boxster s 3.2 then has no chance, i have been in a 300 bhp astra that tore a 911 turbo apart

I have raced plenty of normal boxsters in my GTE 16v and they are pure comedy
the auto ones even more so as I can actually start coming past these!!!
but the manual version is fairly evenly matched to my ol car, which shocked me!
There seems to be a changeover point in 2001/2000 when the Boxster suddenly became alot quicker... im sure there must be stats somewhere to back this up with...

i think even a standard Boxster would beat a 2ltr Corsa, never mind a boxster S.
0-100 km/h in 6.2 secs
but then after that the boxster would scuttle away faster for sure

Dave, you would be very very suyprised... I was!
has to be down to the sheer weigh of the thing... for a two seater they weigh more than your average!
the 0-60 time will be better as they are RWD

but the Box-S is near on 300bhp is it not??

the old boxters are 2.5L, then came the 2.7 and then the Boxter S, the 2.5 ones aren't that quick, i've been out in a few. I'm not sure which would be quicker out of the 2.7 and a 2.0L corsa, but the boxter S would be quicker for definate.

A 2.5 boxster wasn't designed to pull the doors off everything on the road though? Porsche have a selection of cars avaliable if thats your thing.....

A bold statement for someone who most likely drives a corsa...

yes not every car is built to out accelerate everything it comes up against
i'm sure the porsche excels in many other areas that make it a better car
