Mother fcuker

Our new strikeforce to be annouced for next season, Sam Parkin and Nicky Forster

Suddenly I am starting to feel slightly more confident again.

Just need a experience defender to mix in with the youth players and a experienced midfielder to replace Miller.

Ipswich manager Joe Royle is set to secure the services of Reading striker Nicky Forster, with Swindon's Sam Parkin also expected to sign.

Royle is expected to unveil the 31-year-old at a press conference at Portman Road and could also announce the arrival of Swindon forward Sam Parkin, pipping rivals Norwich to his signature.

Forster, who was also linked with Sheffied United, QPR and Millwall, is understood to have agreed a two-year contract with the Suffolk outfit, who are looking to bolster their depleted attack following the departure of Darren Bent and likely move of Shefki Kuqi to Blackburn.

Royle, meanwhile, has been given permission by Swindon to speak to Parkin, who scored 24 goals for the League One side in the 2004/05 campaign which has also alerted the attention of Norwich, Watford and Brighton.

PMSL I doubt it Greg, Sheffield United, Wigan and a whole host of Championship sides wanted him, I doubt he would go to Southend, would have stayed at Reading if that was the case.

Can't fault Parkin's scoring record. Scored 20+ goals for the last 4 consecutive seasons, mind you that was for shitty Swindon.

Forster is 31 - WTF is Royle playing at?! We've got the FA Youth cup winning team to pick from and he get's a player that can do a job for a season but what after that? At this rate none of the youngsters will get much of a game if we keep bringing in people like Forster - don't get me wrong he's good but Royle needs to look to the future and start giving the kids some match time!
Now Parkin would be a good signing, oh and we've got that young Canadian kid (who's name I can't remember) for us now and he;s suppose to be amazing!
Things are (kind of) looking up!

According to some know it all on one of our Luton message boards we have Ipswich away on the first day of the season. In his defence he predicted we'd have Oldham at home last season first day, which we did.

That is true, it's between Ipswich and Celtic - I wonder who he'll choose!!

I'll be amazed if he ups sticks, moves all the way down here to play for a considerably smaller club when he could just play for the second biggest team in the same country that he already lives and a team where there are plenty of international and experienced players for him to learn from! Maybe the weather might swing it for him though!

Jamie Peters, Jules, got Dean McDonald as well.

Jimmy Juan has signed a year extension to his loan from Monaco as well.
