i have been thinking about this for a long time..
who made up a lot of the words we use today ? and why/where/when did they do this..
things in general... is there a site i can look up on this ??
its almost as bad as my "do chinese people use cheese in cooking ??"
please help

ive often wonderd this, like the origin of words and the like.
why are words how they are, i could think of better ones!
and can ghosts ever change their clothes?

CCA - surnames are derived from old jobs..
i know that my surname "ward" is from "warden" back in the old days people were called by their profession/job..

there are a lot of strange names that makes you wonder what they did! "cunningham" were they really cunning and stole ham? or did they cultivate cunning pigs?
