We are fcuked unless we bring in some decent players

I personally would like Unsworth back for next season, along with Heigar Helgusson from Watford to partner Bowditch.

Paul Gerrard from Nottingham Forest should be coming in to replace Davis which is quite a good signing to be honest.

I'm not going to purchase this years new Ipswich shirt until I see what players have come in to replace the old ones and whether they can do a job.

Ipswich will be lucky to stay in the Championship after selling most of their best players. The Chairman should be shot.

Yes, from last season the list at the bottom is all that is left, but how sh1t it must be for the remaining players who have seen everyone leave Must be well disheartning.

But when we lost, Dyer, Holland, Wright, Heridasson, Clapham, Dyer, Bramle, Marcus Bent we thought our days were numbered but we came back thanks to our excellent youth setup and a few excellent freebie signings.

Only thing that is different now though is we don't have Burleys eye for a bit of talent.

Will see how Royle fairs.

I think Sheepshanks is great to be honest, £3 million for a player that has never played in the Premiership and had 1 year left on his contract?

Liverpool only got £8 million from Real Madrid for Owen when he had a year left on his contract and he is a proven international.

£1.25 million for Kelvin Davis is also a lot of money for a 28 year old keeper never tried and tested in Premiership and also with 1 year left on his contract.

We did offer Miller, Kuqi, Magilton, Davis new contracts but they got turned down, they were excellent offers as well which was nice to hear.

Well at least we can offer the same packages to other players now and the fact we have sold 20,000 season tickets already means we have a nice transfer kitty now.

Or am I kidding myself here

Bent leaving was always on the cards the minute we never got promoted. The £2.5 million we got for him will pay the wages for a year, the £1.25 million we got for Davis will be put in the transfer kitty and hopefully the money we saved from not having to renew the contracts of Miller, Kuqi, Magilton, Davis will mean we can bring in a couple of really decent players along with a couple of the youth team mixed in there.

Good thing is, our youth team is a excellent team winning the FA Youth Cup last season, was the first team outside the top flight to win in it 25 years

Kuqi, Miller and Magilton have'nt gone yet.

Kuqi is likely to join Blackburn

Miller is likely to join Sunderland

Magilton has'nt decided whether to play for another year or not.

Its offical Miller gone to Sunderland for nothing

Reading some of the comments on the BBC 606 website all the Ipswich fans are as worried as what I am.

There is a rumour that we are going to sign Nicky Forster from Reading I hope thats a joke

Although someone also mentioned that he would fit in better at Ipswich because of our passing nature, compared with Readings hoof the ball and pray style of football.

"Relax, Chill, Calm down...
we are going to do what we always do... prove em wrong!
bent gone, not worried, he was gone at xmas the way he played, at lease we got some cash this time.. davies off, ok only due to him having a good second half of season, you wait until his back goes again...lewis price is as good just needs more games... Miller going, sad to see but read it like this he played in a very narrow midfield last season (which was our main problem) he scored 15 goals, 7 were pens, 2 against forrest, 2 against rotherham, 1 against westham lucky free kick re-bound, 1 against preston when he fell and his leg hit the ball. so take them away and he didnt score many other in the games he played. Shefqi can u blame him he was offered to a german and far-east club begining last season for nothing, he said he wanted to ssaty and fight which he did, so why did the club wait until end of season with contract? could offered mid -season, Diallo has gone ok he was just a squad player,Pablo who i think is the most lost, as he is a quality player who has had his head done in by royal. Magilton if he signs he sign, currie can play and has played magiltons role very well when needed to...
BFJ will have amixture of youth and experience next season, jamie peters, could be answer to our width problems, Jimmy juan if he agrees loan can be a great centre midfielder, dean mcdonald winger/striker great pace and skill, and of course the youths who have done so well....
as a season ticket holder its sad to see these players go, but you have to get on and support what ya club/manager does. when the results dont go your way thats when you complain, we havent even kicked a ball yet!
look at the play-off games, shefqi, bent, miller, diallo were pants! and also if we had got to prem do u think royal would of kept shefqi, miller etc in his starting 11, i dont think so they would of become squad players.

re: P**SED OFF IPSWICH FAN JBsTractor - 130th post - 16 Jun 2005 13:43
I think Forster would be a good signing but he would need a younger more agile player alongside him. Obvious answer is Dean Bowditch but overhyped far too early and I don't think that he will ever fulfill his potential.
FAO Ipswich fans - I'm not confident now for next season and I can't believe how many people are slating Miller, a player who consistently has done a job for the club. Its not his fault the midfield is useless and therefore games sometimes pass him by. Hopefully Royle will use Price as 1st choice keeper next season and give players like Juan, McDonald, Peters, Knights, Clarke, Garvan, Collins, Nash, Mitchell, Barron, Bowditch (the list goes on) regular chances to prove themselves.
