its in the fuse box right hand side next to your lights

yes it matters coz that determines what ecu you have i think you will have a 16pin aldl(simtec 56.5) the best thing to do is go and have a look

also if you do have the16 pin connector the chances are it wont work and you will have to go to vauxhall,i have this connector and i couldnt get flash codes

OK well in that case count the number of pins as someone on here suggested. I have the X14XE engine in my Astra, although it is supposed to use the Multec system, it has the same number of pins on the connector for a Simtec system, and the fault codes when flashed up on the dash relate to Simtec fault codes...

basically if its 10 pins short the first 2 pins if its 16 pins short the 5th and 6th pins
