...anyone up this area??? will be cruising up there with a few mates, not mine though (too slow ) any good places to stop to break up journey. Travelling up from Stansted Airport (down south)

Donington Services. You'll probably turn off the M1 there anyway to head for Alton Towers.

bout 200 yards past the junction 6 turnoff if you pull up on the hard shoulder, there is a nice little spot i use for dogging, meet you there
