I'm currently developing some more features to do with location services and currently have 500 people in the system. Ideally I could do with having more to make sure the programming scales well under larger loads.

At the moment the only feature you will get is proximity information in classified adverts - ie. if the buyer and seller both tell CS their location, it will tell you how far you are from the other person.

In the future there will be more cool stuff so you supplying your postcode now will help for the future. We don't directly use postcodes or display them anywhere, but instead use this to calculate your longitude and latitude. While there are some security issues with visitors to the site knowing where you are, the data isn't so accurate as postcode at that level is potentially a few hundred roads, plus you are welcome to supply the town centre code, ie if you live in OX4, tell it you live in OX1 and you'll be listed as Oxford town centre not any of the boroughs.

The system will also tell you which regional group you belong to, which is good to know. Link is on the bar at the top of the page.

This is fairly old but gives you an idea of the sort of scope of the data.

Skinz - don't need it that accurate for CS but I'd be interested in the whole data set for other applications, tell me more.

Don't worry about what format its in, I'll do the manipulation on it while I'm putting it in the db.
