It's long but I really need you to tell me what you think?... would my reply piss you off if you read it, baring in mind the email I got... or do you think it'll be OK?

EMail from my boss
=====================================================
Hi Ant,
I appreciate the hard work you've put in this week with Netloan installs,
Nina has passed on her praise.
However, I've just had W.E. staff on phone. They are worried that they won't
have Photoshop Elements on in time for camera session tomorrow (Thurs), and
apparently scanner still isn't installed, although you've closed the call.
She says you told her the disk was too big for the PC. What is going on
with this scanner?
Also she tells me that Funderfinder won't run under XP. Can you try running
it using XP's legacy thing (ie 'run as Win 98' or whatever) and see if that
works. If not, fair enough. And please keep the calls commented.
Funderfinder one hasn't been commented for ages, so we didn't know about
the XP problem.
Derek tells me you've gone up to W.E. this afternoon, but you never arrived
as I rang W.E. just before 5. I now want to know where you were between
leaving H.Q. and 5 pm., and I will be checking signing books to verify your
answer.
I think you had better get to W.E. and make sure that Photoshop is installed
as your first job Thursday.
Chris

The scanners have been installed.. if staff talked to each other they'd know, I'm about had enough of W.E. to be honest!... they have been installed since Monday afternoon when I got the disk from CL.
Funder finder just will not work at all... I told you about it and you acknowledged my concern... I assumed you was dealing with it!
I can't understand what the deal is with the calls been closed... I thought if the status was set to resolved and then closed one would asume that the fault has been resolved??...
As for where I was before I arrived at W.E.... I drove from H.Q. to the city center where I waited for the Wetherby bus, I then spent 45 mins on the bus to W.E., arriving at 5.02 when I signed in, installed the software and got the bus back to my car.
I arrived at work today at 9am, as I did yesterday and Monday... 30 mins early in order to get started with the Netloan stuff, also working through my lunch hour today to help out at M.T.... Think I deserve a relaxing bus trip to W.E.... but if my early starts are causing mayhem in the system then I'll be sure to get to M.T. for 9.30 from now on and commute from there by bus if that would help.
Ant.

Well the thing is, I use my car for work, off my own back, don't get paid travel time... if I was on the bus it'd take hours to go around, so when I do decide to get the bus to relax for an hour they get all arsy and think I'm not doing my job... As I said above, I've been getting to work early, not having a lunch hour so stuff will get done, and that's the shitty mails I get, they piss me off!
I wanted to write an email basically telling him to fuck off... that was as best I could think of without putting my self in the firing line...

Sounds alright to me. Is a little arsey, but then youve got full right to feel that way when the boss is accusing you of not doing your job properly, and skiving work .
Maybe it would be a good time to mention getting access to a company car should you need to go out in future. Emphasise the fact you wont be covered by your insurance should you have an accident in your car while using it for work. Unless they want to foot the bill for the extra insurance, and traveling expenses then they should expect you to use your car.

we're talkin about Leeds City Council here dude, they have no company cars, a few vans, yeah, but I don't need a van...
Wouldn't be so bad... I only did about 4 hours work last week nad nothing was siad... the first week I work my arse off and I get told they think I been skiving

Hi Ant,
Well that's alright then!
Understand my point of view though. I've got Amy chewing me ear off and I
look at LSS and see no comments, so I can't back you up cos I don't know
what's gone off. HQ tells me you've gone off to WE and also that you are in
car, so I assumed a shorter trip time than it actually took you. If I don't
know what's cracking off, then I have to ask you, and in the light of past
experience I was concerned that you wouldn't get to WE to install for the
session. As I said before, I do appreciate the hard work you've put in
recently and I know WE staff can be rather trying at times. But if I don't
have up-to-date info on an issue I can't fight your corner.
I have noticed that you've seemed a little happier at work lately, and I'm
pleased about that. As I've said, I'm also very pleased at the way you've
got stuck in with Netloan, so don't take this as a big downer. We're just
talking here about maintaining call comments and keeping people advised of
your movements.
I have a bit of good news for you too, regarding how staff sometimes talk
to you guys, especially you and David, and to some extent Jez. Nina noticed
the attitude of some of the staff to you guys and was quite concerned about
it, enough to ring me to discuss. Keep this confidential please, but we're
monitoring that and Nina may well speak to the other OMs about it. So you
see we are looking out for you as well.
